The Last Generation’s Climate Rebellion

I was featured in the Los Angeles-based magazine article, which explored the motivations, tactics and personal realities behind Germany’s climate movement, especially the “Letzte Generation” protests. The piece describes my path from physicist and software developer to climate activist, my willingness to accept arrest and legal consequences, and my belief that civil disobedience became necessary after years of insufficient political action on the climate crisis.

It also touched on the emotional and personal costs of activism — from public hostility and court cases to the strain activism can place on family life — while showing why I still see these actions as morally necessary.

I especially appreciated how thoughtfully and carefully the journalist, Jeffrey, approached the reporting process. He was attentive, fair, deeply curious and genuinely pleasant to work with throughout the interviews and follow-up conversations.
